TOURNAMENTS

Congratulations to our three teams who competed in this year's 2026 MENA Junior Club Tournament, sponsored by Nick McGowan MP on Sunday March 22. We had 13 Gold, 15 Gold and 17 Gold take to the courts with the 17 program being a Fast5 competition.

Our 17s had a fun day out, shooting half a dozen three-point shots from outside the goal circle and maintained a frenetic pace of netball in the Fast5 competition. With barely a 15-minute break between matches, our girls did not leave anything out on the court - well done.

15 Gold had a terrific tournament, making it to a Semi-Final clash against Heathmont United where they went down by 1-goal in an absolute thriller. Earlier in the tournament, we had lost to the same Heathmont team by 7-goals, so to play that calibre of netball in a Semi-Final is a testament to their resilience. Special shout out to Rachel for taking on the coaching role for the day!

And finally, 13 Gold went through the day undefeated to eventually take home the Premiership in a beautiful game of netball against Nunawading. Our girls had played Nunawading a couple of times already, with each match coming down to only a couple of goals. Congratulations to coach Jan and 13 Gold for a terrific 3-goal win in the Grand Final.

We are looking forward to the U9/U11 Tournament scheduled for November this year.
